The DeKalb Area Women’s Center’s Winter Coat Drive is already taking place across the community. Donors can drop off all kinds of winter outerwear in good condition at the DeKalb Area Women’s Center, 1021 State St. in DeKalb, from 7 to 9 p.m. any Friday. The Sigma Lambda Sigma is helping the DeKalb Area Women’s Center with their annual Winter Coat Drive. They have placed five donation boxes in different locations around the community and around campus, as well as provided other organizations with their own donation boxes.
The groups are collecting coats and other winter outwear items that will be distributed at no cost to those in need at the DeKalb Area Women’s Center on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Any coats not distributed on that day will be re-donated to other locations around the area that provide free winter outerwear to those in need. By helping them collect the winter coats, you are helping provide winter coats to the community and those in need and making sure that children and families across DeKalb county are able to stay warm this winter.
