(DeKalb) – Are you interested in learning the basics of self-defense? Inform Encounters is a self-defense awareness program that empowers teens with skills to prevent and manage difficult encounters through a combination of awareness, verbal de-escalation, and physical techniques.
On Wednesday, April 22, visit the DeKalb Public Library for an introduction to self defense for teens from a trained professional.
Arthur Berry has been a Kung Fu teacher since 1980. He has worked with teens at the Department of Corrections for 17 years.
This program is intended for teens in grades 6-12. No registration is required. It will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Teen Room.
