Be a hero for kids with cancer!
The second annual “Shave for The Brave” will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Remington’s Gastropub, 102 S Third St, Malta, IL from 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
This year, they are honoring two local children: Jake Dobie, 7, of DeKalb and Mattis Vera, 4, of Malta. Both are diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Last year they set a goal of $15,000 and raised $23,500. They are stepping up their game this year with a goal of $25,000.
Join this St. Baldrick’s event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, be a part of the excitement!
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Get involved and you’ll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
