The City of DeKalb’s 2013 Loose Leaf Collection Program has begun on Monday, October 14. Vacuum trucks will pick up leaves Monday – Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents within the scheduled section should rake their leaves onto the parkway, directly behind the curb or gutter line (between the sidewalk and the street). Do not rake leaves into the street. Placing leaves in the street causes street flooding by blocking the storm sewers. Off street parking should be used as much as possible during your scheduled week. Please place leaves on the parkway during the weekend prior to your scheduled pickup. Leaves must be free of foreign material, sticks, rocks, etc.
