The Sycamore Park District is welcoming Santa with hot chocolate and cookies this weekend. Come to the Sycamore United Methodist Church this Friday, December 12th, 2014, from 3:30-7:pm or Saturday, December 13th, from 9:am until noon to get in on the fun!
Participants will receive complimentary hot chocolate, a goodie bag and a picture with Santa. They will also have a craft table set up for children to create their very own Holiday keepsake. The event is free; however, they encourage participants to bring a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Sycamore Food Pantry, or an unwrapped toy, to be donated to the DeKalb Toys for Tots.
This event is sponsored by the Sycamore Park District. Special thanks to the Sycamore Lions Club for their ongoing help and providing the hot chocolate and cookies! Thanks also goes to Kishwaukee Community Hospital for the photo frame donation.
Santa’s “vacation home”, located on the courthouse lawn, is open for visitors Fridays 5-7pm, Saturdays 11-2pm and Sundays 12-2pm, through December 21st. Santa’s house in downtown Sycamore also has his own personal mailbox! Be sure that Santa receives your wish list this year by delivering it yourself.
Genoa Park District’s Cookies With Santa is also this weekend on Saturday, December 13th, from 10am until noon at the G-K Middle School. Enjoy some cookies with Santa and don’t forget to bring your camera and Christmas wish list.
