Attention, parents and kids ages 4 to 12: Do you want to create art together? Are you curious to learn more about world cultures?
Sign up for “Cultural Exploration through Making Art,” which begins Saturday, Oct. 31.
This is a fun, artistic and creative class for both children and parents to explore cultures together through arts and crafts. The class includes both 2- and 3-dimensional projects that allow children and parents to express themselves with creativity and imagination, such as drawing, painting, mask-making, paper-cutting, origami and cultural mapping.
Multiple cultures will be introduced in this class so participants will expand their multicultural awareness through art-learning and art-making processes.
No previous experience is necessary. Class is limited to 10 children. The fee is $150 per child, which includes all materials. One or two parents can accompany each registered child.
The class meets in Room 207 of the Visual Arts Building from 1 to 3 p.m. for six Saturdays, ending Dec. 5. Li-Hsuan Hsu is the teacher.
