KishHealth System is the proud sponsor of NIU Huskies’ Kick Off Kid and has two final contests for the NIU Football season.
For the NIU football game on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 7 pm against Western Michigan, prospective Kick Off Kids are asked to write an essay telling the community “How Kids Keep Healthy.” The winner of the essay contest will be chosen on Nov. 13. The essay contest stating “How Kids Keep Healthy” rules are as follows: submissions need to be typed (parent assistance on the computer is acceptable), the essay should be at least one page double spaced but no longer than three pages in 12-point font. Please, only one submission per child.
For the NIU football game on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 6:30 pm against Ohio, prospective Kick Off Kids need to submit a photo showing their “Healthy Huskie Spirit.” The winner of the spirit contest will be chosen on Nov. 20. The photo spirit contest rules are as follows: submissions need to show children in the NIU Huskie Spirit participating in a healthy activity, photos while in Huskie Stadium or on the campus of NIU are encouraged. Please, only one submission per child.
To enter the essay contest or photo spirit contest: entries can be emailed to tkomitas@kishhealth.org. So the winner can be notified, entries should include: parent/guardian name, telephone number, email address, child’s name and age.
To qualify to be entered in the contest for the Kick Off Kid, the child must be between the ages of 8 and 13 years old and not too shy to run out on the field at the start of the game. Additionally, the child must be available an hour before the game and can have up to five guests with him or her on the field.
