Once again the lawn at 205 Pine St. in DeKalb will be alive with bluegrass and gospel music as the Gurler Heritage Association presents the 2012 Folk Music Fest featuring Truman’s Ridge. Dave Balika and Friends will set up the sound stage and take the first round of performances at 12 noon on Saturday June 16. The Barb City Stompers will follow with their toe-tapping rhythms at 1:00. Truman’s Ridge will perform from 3:00 to 4:45.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets as they enjoy an afternoon of music and Chicago-style hot dogs. The GHA is proud to acknowledge the sponsorship of the Mary E. Stevens Concert and Lecture Fund. Visit the Gurler House Association’s website now to learn more.
