Family Service Agency (FSA) is excited to announce a new program called Senior Connections!
This program provides companionship for seniors in the community who are 55 and older. Some of the activities that a volunteer and a senior may do together include engaging in conversation, games, puzzles, sharing memories, and more. The volunteer and senior will be paired together based on common interests and preferences.
FSA is looking for volunteers and seniors for this program. If you have a passion for serving and find joy in socializing with older adults, please consider volunteering for Senior Connections! Volunteers must be 18 or older. Prospective volunteers must fill out an application and go through an interview and training process before they can begin meeting with a senior.
A qualifying senior is anyone who is over the age of 55 who could benefit from having a friendly visitor. There will be an interview process to learn more about the senior’s interests and preferences. Then, the best match possible will be made and the companionship visits can begin.
