Join the DeKalb County Community Foundation this Saturday, May 19, for an evening of fun, artistic interpretation, and celebration, celebrating 25 Years of Philanthropy! This year, The Light Show will also feature an indoor “DeKalb County by Drone” show. Displayed on the interior walls of The Freight Room, this 30 minute show will the fly viewers through DeKalb County, capturing the beauty and highlights of the community we serve. Starting at dusk, watch as we light up the walls of the Depot, featuring the work of NIU Time Arts students and NIU Associate Professor Bart Woodstrup.
All attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. Parking is available on the side streets and downtown areas. Free regular popcorn and snow cones provided by The Gracie Center PopUp Shop, a vocational skill development program for adults with developmental disabilities.
The “DeKalb County by Drone” show starts at 7:00 p.m. The Light Show begins at dusk (appx. 8:45 p.m.) The event will take place at the DeKalb County Community Foundation’s building at 475 DeKalb Ave. near downtown Sycamore. For any other questions visit the website by clicking HERE.
