A group for cultivating mindfulness practice into daily life is being offered at the Ben Gordon Center. Developing Awareness Group is offered Mondays 1-2:30 pm and for more information call 815-756-4875.
This is an 8 week skill building group that will assist in teaching clients how to live more in the present moment. By building mindfulness skills we can reduce anxiety, reduce depression, manage chronic pain, increase self-awareness, develop patience and improve concentration. Skills developed within group include:
*Breathing Exercises
*Yoga/Stretching/Walking
*Progressive Muscle Relaxation
*Awareness of the 5 senses
*Guided imagery meditation
*Loving-Kindness meditation
