The DeKalb County Veterans Recognition Fund is excited to introduce a variety of new gift items to support the 250th Veteran Salute to America. These items will be available to purchase, with any profits going to support local veterans’ projects.
Details and cost of these items will be posted soon, as well as locations. Without the efforts of the very first patriots/militia to the current American fighting force,there would not be a 250th celebration of the great land – AMERICA. The Veterans Affairs and various military branches will be offering events and activities to honor the American servicemen and women throughout the year.
America250 and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) have solidified plans to honor veterans and active duty service members via a special ‘Salute250’ tribute.This program will honor 250 current and past military members who have made a difference. At the local level, the DeKalb County Veterans Recognition Fund will be honoring ’25’ DeKalb County Veterans who have made a major contribution in supporting America.
During this year, there will be a variety of special events and activities to honor the 250thAnniversary of America, sponsored by various groups, organizations, cities, and the county. Information on these and other events are posted on a variety of social media sites.In addition, DeKalbCountyVeteran.com will be hosting a variety of special events.
