DeKalb, IL – On Saturday, September 21 at 1:30 p.m. the DeKalb County Democratic Party is hosting a potential candidate informational social.
This social event is for anyone that wants to know how to run for a local office or become an active precinct committee person with the local Democratic party. Members of the party and elected officials will be on hand to answer questions and have discussions.
Light refreshments are being provided and the event is free and open to any Democrat interested in learning more about running in 2020, 2021 or beyond.
This event will also provide guidance on how to get involved in a presidential campaign and be active in local organizing.
Minorities, women, and those from traditionally underrepresented communities are especially encouraged to attend as the DeKalb County Democratic Party is committed to having elected bodies that are representative of our community and that can offer diverse perspectives.
If you are interested in running for local office but cannot attend the social event please contact DeKalb County Democratic Party Chairman Jim Luebke at 815-762-2054 or Mark Pietrowski at 815-762-2054.
