Thrivent Financial local coordinator Dustin J. Miller announced that the organization continues to support local DeKalb County School Teachers.
Staff members from Thrivent Financial DeKalb office dropped off 55 bags of classroom supplies for new teachers in the Dekalb school district. Thrivent Financial local office hosted a Thrivent Community event where volunteers packed the several bags full of school-related supplies for all new school teachers in the Dekalb County public school districts.
Team members were able to deliver school supplies bags to Indian Creek, Genoa/Kingston, and DeKalb area schools. Thrivent Financial staff still plans on getting the remaining bags to Sycamore and Somonauk schools.
DeKalb School District had the most new teachers (55 to be exact) and the organizations was excited to get these school supplies delivered to new teachers.
Prior to the start of the new school year, the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce provided ‘Welcome Bags’ to new teachers to the Dekalb School District. These bags provided local information about the greater DeKalb area.
