Climb aboard one of the first mass-produced airliners and step back in time to aviation’s golden age this Thursday through Sunday, September 21st – 24th at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport. A flight on EAA’s Ford Tri-Motor is a flight back to an era where air travel was considered a luxury.
Recall the energy, passion, and excitement of the Roaring ’20s by flying aboard the Ford Tri-Motor. Known as the first luxury airliner, the Ford Tri-Motor redefined world travel and marked the beginning of commercial flight.
All ticket proceeds support the Experimental Aircraft Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing The Spirit of Aviation with everyone. The tour stops are hosted by volunteers who are passionate about sharing the Ford Tri-Motor’s stories.
Viewing the aircraft is free, so be sure to bring your camera along. The event takes place at DeKalb Flight Center which is inside DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, 3232 Pleasant Street in DeKalb.. Questions? Call 877-952-5395 or visit their website.
