The 1985 National Champions Chicago Bears created more great players as well as championship members at any time in Bears’ history. On Tuesday evening the NFL Chicago Bear Hall of Fame (2002) Dan Hampton visited Smith-Dahlquist company in Sycamore to sign autographs and take photos. The ‘Daniminal’ was excited to meet the attendees and listen to the people share why they are Bears fans.
Lines formed around 4:30 PM for the 5:00 PM opening at Smith-Dahlquist showroom with people wanting to meet and have Hampton sign autographs and take photos with this great Chicago Bear. The audience included young and old with photos, footballs, shirts, and hats to be signed by Hampton. Some of the early attendees were former Sycamore coach Pete Johnson and his wife Char. Sycamore Mayor Curt Lang stopped by to say hello, even with his busy schedule getting ready for Sycamore Pumpkin Fest.
