DeKalb County Housing Authority Temporarily Close Section 8

The DeKalb County Housing Authorityannounced that effective Thursday, October 31, 2019, at 8:00 AM the Housing Authority of the County of DeKalb will officially close the Housing Choice Voucher/Section 8 Waiting List The Housing Authority anticipates re-opening the waiting list during 2020. No date has been selected at this time. Please note, this waiting list has only accepted pre-applications from applicants who were income-eligible and the head, spouse or sole member of the household were 62 years of age or older and/or the head, spouse or sole member of household claim a verifiable disability since October 23, 2015, 8:00 AM.

The Low-Income Public Housing Waiting List remains open to applicants who are income-eligible and who have two (2) or more of our local preferences. Pre-applications are submitted online at www.dekcohousing.com<http://www.dekcohousing.com>. Please read each question carefully and provide the best answer to have a successful pre-application submission.
