Our Kishwaukee is an amazing river! It provides recreation for residents of DeKalb from fishing to canoeing. The Kishwaukee River is also home to 28 endangered, threatened, or watch-listed species. A river this important deserves some love!
Join the DeKalb Park District on National Public Lands Day this Saturday, September 24th from 10:am until noon to help remove trash and debris from this community treasure.
Meet at Lions Park Shelter at 10:00am to pitch in the clean-up. Participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves, boots, waders, etc. as a limited number will be available. Close toed shoes are required. After the cleanup enjoy a free BBQ from noon until 1pm!
