What you do in your garden this fall can greatly affect your harvest next year. The DeKalb County Center for Agriculture is offering a course titled ‘Putting the Garden to Bed’ this Thursday, October 4th, from 6pm – 7pm. In this one hour program, Extension Horticulturist, Candice Miller, will discuss fall gardening activities such as the planting of cover crops, soil amendments, proper sanitation, pest control, and various methods for season extension…all of which will set you up for success in next year’s vegetable garden, as well as in the home landscape.
This program is open to the public and everyone is welcome. The fee for this program is $5. Pre-registration is preferred by October 3rd.
