Once again the Waterman Lions Club will be hosting their 7th Annual Gobbler Gallop on November 23, 2013. This 5k run/walk event brings in hundreds to the Village of Waterman, for a morning of fun. Registration sign in begins at 8am. Official Gobbler Gallop t-shirts are given to all pre-registered participants and until supplies last for same-day participants. Awards are given at the end of the event.
The course is a certified 5K course that starts and finishes at Waterman Elementary School. The course winds through scenic village streets and is fully paved with mile markers for each mile. Water will be available at the start and 2-mile mark. A digital clock will be at the finish line, and Race Time Finish Line Management will be responsible for all the timing.
The Indian Creek High School band provides warm – up entertainment and opens the event with the playing of the Star Spangled Banner, followed by a shot gun start at 9:00 am.
