Family Service Agency’s Center for Counseling and Senior Services are seeking volunteers aged 25 and older for the Senior Connections program. Senior Connections helps to provide socialization and friendship to seniors, while working to decrease feelings of isolation and loneliness.
The program provides supportive companionship from trained and supervised volunteers to community seniors. The volunteers will be asked to regularly visit the home of a senior that they have each been carefully matched with, but will also be encouraged to spend time together in the community or at various events, if mutually agreed upon.
Make an impact and connect with community members today: free time on the weekend, after work or during a lunch hour can make all the difference. For more information or to become a Senior Connections volunteer, please contact Family Service Agency’s Clinical Director Kerri Phalp at: 815-758-8616 or visit their website.
