The Northern Illinois University volleyball team will host a free serving clinic and open practice Wednesday, Aug. 20, in Victor E. Court.
The serving clinic begins at 4 p.m. and is open to all middle school students. No registration is required prior to the clinic. High school students will not be permitted to take part due to NCAA rules.
Following the one-hour clinic, the Huskies will host an open-to-the-public practice from 5 to 7 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to get their first look at the 2014 squad, see the new floor in Victor E. Court and meet with players and coaches following the practice. Season tickets also will be on sale.

The NIU volleyball team opens the 2014 season Friday, Aug. 29, and Saturday, Aug. 30, when its host Northwestern, Colorado and Presbyterian in the NIU Invitational. Season tickets are $40 and are available online or at (815) 753-PACK.
