(DeKalb) – There is only one museum in America that honors all Veterans – from all branches of service, and from all eras of our nation’s proud history of military service. National Veterans Memorial and Museum takes visitors on a narrative journey telling individual stories and shared experiences of veterans throughout history. Their stories shaped a nation. Our freedom is their legacy. Share in the celebration and be inspired by the courage of those who served.
Join us in person at the DeKalb Public Library on Monday, May 11, for a virtual tour of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum led by a museum docent with real-time opportunity for interaction during the hour-long tour. It will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the lower-level Zimmerman Meeting Room. A recording of this virtual tour will also be available to view on the library’s YouTube page after this program.
This all-ages event has been provided by the Friends of the Library as part of the American 250 initiative: celebrating our nation throughout the year. No registration is required.
