Since 1967 St. Paul’s Episcopal Church has held the Lobster Boil, an annual fundraising event that supports both the church and the surrounding community. As a part of that tradition, half of the proceeds of the Lobster Boil are donated to local social service organizations that directly help people who are in need.
Money from the proceeds has been sent to the following organizations and charities in prior years: Safe Passage, Children’s Learning Center, DeKalb County Nursing Home Foundation, DeKalb County Hospice, Habitat for Humanity, Family Service Agency, The Growing Place, Hope Haven, Voluntary Action Center, Diocesan ECW, Sending women to ECW Convention, “Nets for Life” project and St Paul’s Church.
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is accepting Lobster Boil Orders starting today, May 2nd. Visit their website to pay with credit card or download the flyer to complete and mail in with check for payment. Lobsters can be picked up at the church on May 21st at 4pm. The Church is located at 900 Normal Road, in DeKalb. For directions go to their website for mapquest help.
