NEXT MARKET- 12 JUNE Our next farmers market will be Sunday, June 12, 9 am – 1 pm. Besides the great vendors we had yesterday, we already have an additional five vendors committed to the next market. We also had several vendor inquiries yesterday, so expects us to keep growing in size as we continue to add vendors. Also note, it is early in the growing season, but as we progress into the season, our farm vendors will have even a greater selection of fresh vegetables and fruits at each market. Over the next few weeks leading into the next market, we’ll post exactly what vendors will be present at the market. Please mark your calendars and plan on coming out to our next market with your families and friends.

SUCCESSFUL FIRST MARKET!!! We would like to thank everyone who came out to our first market yesterday. It was a successful first market with beautiful weather, great vendors, and enthusiastic customers! A shout out to our trailblazing vendors that attended our first market: Stojan Farm, Potbelly Acres Farm, Hasselmann Family Farm, Mindful Delights Bakery, One Seed One Plant, Bill’s Olive Oils, Lisa’s Wild Tree, Susan’s Glass Arts, Shelly’s doTerra essential oils, and Scott with Nerium International. Let us give another shout out to the young dancers from Northern Illinois Dance Center who performed. Finally, a big shout out to all the customers who came into Grassroots for a drink or food yesterday. We expected more business during the market, but failed to anticipate the tremendous turnout we had in our café. We want to thank everyone for their patience waiting for their orders and understanding that it takes additional time to make real smoothies and juices, made fresh to order. Now we have a better idea on how much to prep and how to perform more efficiently. Thank you Sycamore, DeKalb, and neighboring communities!
