Saturday April 24th from 2-4pm there will be a public meeting held in Cortland at the Cortland Lions Park Shelter. The shelter is located by turning east at Casey’s General store onto Chestnut street, follow it three blocks until it ends at the Cortland Lions Park.
This will be an opportunity for citizens to learn more about the proposed landfill expansion and what it means for the county. It will provide up-to-date information about the expansion application process as well as facts about what to expect. The meeting will provide a time and place for citizens who care about this issue to come together and discuss it.
For those who oppose the planned landfill expansion it will be an opportunity for them to learn what they can do to join the effort to stop it.
This event is planned and sponsored by concerned citizens who have been working together to oppose the expansion.
All concerned citizens from any where in the county are invited to attend and learn more about this issue.
