The Illinois Valley Community College (IVCC) Choir is welcoming new voices to join their ensemble as spring rehearsals get underway. Whether you’re an experienced vocalist or just love to sing, IVCC’s choir offers an exciting opportunity to make music with a friendly and supportive group.
Starting Monday, January 27, rehearsals will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room D-223, providing a perfect chance for anyone aged 16 and older to participate. No prior experience is required, making it an accessible and enjoyable activity for all skill levels.
“Singing in a group is a proven way to improve your health and mood. Our choir is very welcoming of new singers, as we are all here with the same goals in mind,” said Choir Director Jenilyn Roether.

Rehearsals will take place every Monday, excluding February 17 and March 10, leading up to the Spring Vocal Concert on Monday, April 28, at 7 p.m. This performance will showcase the hard work and dedication of the choir members and provide a wonderful opportunity to share their music with the community.
Joining the choir is a fantastic way to meet new people, enhance your vocal skills, and experience the joy of group singing. If you’re interested in becoming a part of this vibrant musical community, contact Jenilyn Roether at jenilyn_roether@ivcc.edu for more information.
