Calling all student leaders: Registration for the NIU LEAD Summit is now open.
The NIU LEAD Summit – NIU’s premier leadership conference – is open to all NIU students; however, conference content is geared toward undergraduate students. Scheduled Saturday, Nov. 14, in Barsema Hall, the summit is the concluding event of Leadership Week.
Participants can attend various workshops related to developing leadership skills, hear from keynote speakers and network with other student leaders and staff members. The summit also features an optional Greek track specifically designed for student members of fraternity and sorority life.
Opening and closing keynote speakers will be featured during the LEAD Summit, and session topics such as social innovation and leadership, Interviewing 101, bystander intervention and more will be included. The Greek track will include topics such as ethics and values-based leadership, utilizing resources and more.
Check-in begins at 9 a.m., and the first session will begin at 9:45 a.m. The summit will conclude at 4:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required to attend. A $10 refundable fee is charged; this fee will be refunded for students who check out at the conclusion of the summit. Those who do not attend the entirety of the summit will not receive refunds.
