Although they may not have an abundance of snow, POLARpalooza is still a GO! Come out to Hopkins Park in DeKalb (1403 Sycamore Rd) on Sunday, February 10, 2019 for family-oriented winter activities at the 2nd annual POLARpalooza Winter Festival!
Activities Include:
Snow Shoe Scavenger Hunt (1:00-3:00 p.m.)
Snow Sculpting by Lyn Bute (12:00-4:00 p.m.)
FREE Hot Chocolate (12:00-4:00 p.m.)
S’mores Roasting (12:00-4:00 p.m.)
Photos with the POLARpalooza Mascots (1:00-4:00 p.m.)
Snowman Building Contest (1:00-3:00 p.m.)
Winter Crafts (12:00-4:00 p.m.)
Fat Tire Bike Rides with North Central Cyclery (12:00-4:00 p.m.)
Hockey Demonstrations (12:30 & 1:30 p.m.)
Curling Demonstration (TBD)
Nature Trail Hike (1:00 & 2:30 p.m.)
Due to less than ideal weather conditions, the ice rink will not be open. Therefore, they will not have ice skating or figure skating demonstrations. The NIU Hockey Team will still be in attendance and will coordinate street hockey activities.

At Polarpalooza, they are accepting dog supply items that will be donated to Raven’s Husky Haven & Rescue, a local husky rescue facility.
