Park District to host Art Workshop Series

The DeKalb Park District is introducing a new arts program this month. Arts Explore…Arts Galore! is a workshop series that includes a variety of arts based activities and is open to all ages. The different workshops will focus on many aspects of art including visual art, creative writing, drama, movement, and music. The program supports higher-level thinking and the activities are designed to be fun, engaging, and entertaining.

Cynthia de Seife, the founder of the Arts Explore…Arts Galore! program, had a vision of creating a fun and engaging arts program . “The arts bring people from all different ages, genders, and cultures together. Whether its music, dance, or visual arts, people can share that experience together,” said de Seife. “Group experiences are lacking in our culture today. We live separate lives and are always looking at screens. You’re face-to-face during this arts program and you’re breaking barriers along the way,” she added.

The first workshop in the series, Expressive Art with Cynthia de Seife, will be held at Haish Gym on Saturday, October 10th from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
