The DeKalb Police Department again will participate in No-Shave November.
According to a news release from DeKalb police, participating officers will put down their razors and donate $20 to the No-Shave November foundation through the DeKalb Police Benevolent & Protective Association.
This year’s campaign supports “Fight Colorectal Cancer,” St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Prevent Cancer Foundation, according to the release. At least 80% of donations will be donated equally to participating charities.
The No-Shave November Foundation is a web-based nonprofit organization devoted to growing cancer awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research and education.
Residents who would like to donate to the event or participate alongside DeKalb police officers may do so by visiting the department’s fundraising page at no-shave.org/member/DPD_NoShaveTeam2020.
