NIU’s Gender & Sexuality Resource Center has two events planned in November just for men.
A Men’s Health Symposium, scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Glass Gallery Lounge of the Holmes Student Center, will provide tips and information on physical and psychological wellness.
Men also can learn about healthy sexual relationships and can find academic and professional support.
Less than 24 hours later, men are invited from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, to the Men’s Advisory Network get-together in Room 203 of Altgeld Hall.
Designed to enhance the college environment, the Men’s Advisory Network is comprised of all men of NIU who are committed to working collectively and responsibly to foster lifelong learning and personal development.
The learning-centered meetings connect men of various backgrounds and experiences for well-rounded support, fellowship and continuous growth. All are encouraged to take responsibility and investment in their learning journeys toward becoming professionals. Future meetings are planned Jan. 29, Feb. 12, March 4 and April 8.
