Local Holiday Shopping Events This Weekend

‘Tis the Season and the shops in downtown DeKalb and Sycamore want you to stop by this weekend and Shop Local! DeKalb’s Hollydays Open Houses are this Friday through Sunday, November 20-22nd! Sip, Shop and Socialize at the shops in downtown DeKalb Friday from 10am – 7pm, Saturday from 10am until 5pm and Sunday from noon until 4pm.

The Merchants of Downtown Sycamore present Jingle the Bells Holiday Open House November 20-22 throughout downtown Sycamore from 10am – 6pm each day. Twelve participating businesses will feature great gift ideas, holiday promotions, and an atmosphere that will get you in the spirit of the holidays. Sign up in each of the businesses to win either the large door prize containing items donated by each business or the door prize basket being offered in each business. The Sycamore Theater will be offering a free showing of ELF on Saturday and Sunday at 11am.

Moonlight Madness is also going on in downtown Sycamore on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 6pm – 8pm. Kick off your holiday season in downtown Sycamore as Discover Sycamore welcomes you with an evening full of activities for the entire family. Come check out live holiday displays in the windows of downtown businesses. Beat the ‘Black Friday’ crowds and get all your holiday shopping done a week early. Businesses will be featuring special moonlight deals that you won’t want to miss!

St. Mary’s is hosting their 3rd Annual Holiday Shopping Event this Saturday, November 21 from 2pm – 7pm at 322 Waterman St. in Sycamore. The event this year is benefiting the St. Mary’s Sycamore Legacy (building) Campaign. Featuring 30 local businesses, vendors, and handmade artists, this shopping event is a great opportunity to start some of your holiday shopping and support local business too. This event is free to the public, and tickets are not required. Also featuring a children’s craft area and a raffle, this family-friendly event will be sure to be a great time!
