Hi Mac-
Actually, for the 428 school board, the last time around was only two years ago. I was surfing recently and came across this Northern Star article (link below) on the outcome of that 2009 election. An interesting article to read along with yours before we head to the polls tomorrow…Voting is a funny thing…and one data point that surprised me in the 2009 election was Jessica Lyons’ slightly larger vote total over Michael Lord. (They both won seats.) Based on interaction I have seen at school board meetings over the last two years, I would have expected the other way around on those two vote totals. Thinking of these things makes me wonder how the dynamic will change at 428 after this election. Your online poll of recent days also has me wondering in some ways…especially regarding what I call the “second tier” contestants. We’ll find out tomorrow!
VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! Please, everyone, get out and VOTE!

Wow, I forgot only four people ran for the four slots for Dist 428 School board back in 2007. One thing I’m thankful for is that we have eleven individuals competing for those four spots this time around. I’m also happy that in the city of DeKalb four of the four Aldermadic races are contested.
PLEASE VOTE on TUESDAY!
