The KishHealth System Physical Therapy Center is hosting its 7th annual 5K Run/Walk event this Saturday, May 31st, 2014 at 8 am. The event is intended to be both competitive as well as promote health and fitness for the local community. Proceeds will be donated to Adventure Works of DeKalb County.
The run/walk will start and end at the KishHealth System Physical Therapy Center, 2111 Midlands Court, Sycamore. The course is flat and follows city streets. Event day registration and packet pick-up will be available from 6:45 to 7:45 am. Registration closes at 7:45 am and the run/walk begins promptly at 8 am. Pre-registered runners are guaranteed a race T-shirt. Event day registrants will receive a T-shirt, while supplies last. Refreshments will be served to all participants both pre and post-race. Physical Therapy Center staff will be available for post-event stretching and massage.
Registration fees are $15 for KishHealth System employees, $20 for the general public, and $25 for event day registrants. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners, plus the top three male and female runners in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29,30-39,40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
