Kishwaukee College Continuing Education is offering a free information session for community residents to learn more about the Personal Fitness Trainer program. The free information session will be held on Tuesday, January 10 from 6:30 – 7:30p.m. in Room B2301 at the College. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
There will be an additional opportunity to learn more about the program online through World Instructor Training School (W.I.T.S.), the College’s partner in offering the program. The additional online webinar information session is on Wednesday, January 11, from 3 – 4:00p.m.
The Personal Fitness Trainer course begins January 21. The course is designed to prepare students to work successfully in the fitness field. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the Personal Training field is expected to grow 7% through 2024. Personal trainers work primarily in fitness centers, gyms, hospitals, universities, yoga and Pilates studios, and clients’ homes.
