Kishwaukee College will be holding a Visit Day for prospective students this Monday, February 17, 2014 beginning at 10:00a.m. in the Kishwaukee College Conference Center; check-in will open at 9:30 a.m.
Visit Day will feature a conference-style schedule that allows participants to choose which sessions will most benefit them. Each timeslot offers two or three different session options, allowing visitors customize their day. Lunch will also be provided.
Sessions being offered during the Visit Day include: Transfer 101 (for students planning to continue to a university after Kishwaukee); Cruising the Career Track; Undecided? You’ve Made a Great Decision!; Supporting Your Student; Academic Edge; Navigating Financial Aid; and campus tours. There will also be an information fair at which students and families may browse tables for a variety of academic programs and student services.
Visit Day also has information to offer populations beyond high school students and families. For those who did not complete high school traditionally, there will be a session explaining how to earn a GED/High School Equivalency and transition to college, titled Get Your GED and Transition to College. There will also be a session for adults returning to college titled Special Support for Adult Students.
Students who RSVP for the event by February 13 will be entered into a drawing to win three credit hours of tuition at Kishwaukee College or an iPod. In-person registrants at the Visit Day are welcome, but will not be entered in the drawing.
