Don’t miss the first annual St. Baldrick’s event at Remington’s Gastropub on Sunday, 8 April 2018, 2-9pm!
It’s a fantastic opportunity to raise money for children’s cancer research and we will be honoring local 8yr old, Jake Dobie who was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). If we meet our goal of $15,000, owners Curt & Kristen will brave the shave! Who else want to shave with them?
Why shave? Volunteers shave because kids with cancer often lose their hair during treatment and shavees stand bald and proud beside them. The true goal however, is to cure childhood cancer by fundraising for lifesaving childhood cancer research.
St. Baldrick’s donors and volunteers have enabled the Foundation to fund more than $232 million in grants, allowing the Foundation to fund more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
As a first-year volunteer of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, I know we are helping to find cures for children battling cancer in our community and throughout the world.
