The State of Illinois will move into ‘Phase 4’ of the COVID-19 re-opening plan this Friday. This will include all four regions of the state. Phase 4 will include the reopening of select businesses such as health and fitness clubs, movie theaters, concert and theater buildings, museums, and zoos.
Phase 4 will also include indoor dining at restaurants. This will limit the number of patrons with tables spaced 6-feet apart in seated areas and no more than 25% of capacity for standing room. This includes both restaurants and social clubs (Elks, Moose Lodges, and American Legion Halls). Some restaurants feel with this limitation they will have to close.
Limited attendance will affect museums and zoos that can reopen with no more than 25% occupancy. The future of many venues is in question as Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker continues to change the limits on numbers of people and types of activities affected.
