Shaney Herrmann
My name is Shaney Herrmann and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Sycamore City Clerk. Sycamore has been an ideal home to my family for the past eighteen years, and I’m looking forward to giving back to our community who has given us so much.
Having spent many years teaching about government, I’ve always stressed the importance of public service. As the Sycamore City Clerk, I’ll be able to put my words into action and serve the great citizens of Sycamore. While I have never held public office, teaching has given me a skill set to serve as an effective and efficient city clerk. My active involvement in various organizations, from youth ministry to P.T.O. to sports boosters, has also helped to prepare me for the different demands that come with the role of city clerk.
One main goal as Sycamore City Clerk would be to add 21st century benefits to our city dealings. Things such as online and direct account payments need to be paired with the home town personal feeling that this city has.
