There will be a fundraiser today at the Genoa Veterans Home (311 S Washington St.) from 12 – 4 p.m. for Brookelyn Poggensee, who is the daughter and granddaughter of Marine veterans.
Brooklyn has myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), which is a type of cancer of the bone marrow. She is scheduled for chemotherapy treatment February 18 -28, followed by a stem cell transplant.
The event will include a Silent Auction (see list of items below), Quilt Drawing, Food & Much More!
