To make a difference you do not need to wait to be an adult. There are many young adults in Sycamore who have made a difference. Join the Sycamore History Museum this Wednesday, July 13th at 7:00pm, in the DeKalb County Community Foundation’s Freight Room, 475 DeKalb Ave., to meet some of these amazing people and learn how they have shared their time and talents.
The evening will include a short skit from the actors and mentors participating in the Penguin Project, April McKay who completed her Silver Award for Girl Scouts, Jared Bunge who completed his Eagle Scout project, and representatives from the Sycamore High School History Club who created a video about Robert Varty, a Sycamore World War II veteran who was captured by the Germans.
