The City of DeKalb’s 2014 Loose Leaf Collection Program will begin on Monday, October 13, 2014. Vacuum trucks will pick up leaves Monday – Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents within the scheduled section should rake their leaves onto the parkway, directly behind the curb or gutter line (between the sidewalk and the street). Do not rake leaves into the street. Placing leaves in the street blocks storm sewers and causes street flooding. Off street parking should be used as much as possible during your scheduled week. Please place leaves on the parkway during the weekend prior to your scheduled pickup. Leaves must be free of foreign material, sticks, rocks, etc.
