All materials will be provided but will not be pre-prepped. Mary Cassatt was an American artist who loved painting people, especially children and families. Mary believed everyday moments—like playing, thinking, or spending time together—were important and worth turning into art. Fancy hats were very popular in her time, and she often painted people wearing beautiful, decorated hats. Sustainability Swap

It’s important to be responsible consumers and consider sustainability when we need new things. Our Sustainability Swap, monthly on the first Thursdays, allows you to trade in your lightly used clothing for someone else’s, as well as swap houseplants you might not want to care for. The houseplant portion of the swap is sponsored by Willrett Flower Company. Freshly washed clothing in adult sizes can be dropped off at the reference desk one week before the program. Houseplants of all kinds are welcome, but please only bring pots that you are willing to part with. You do not need to drop your plants off in advance. How the Thirteen Original Colonies Grew

They included the states of: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. During this program we will discuss the history of the first Thirteen Colonies, as well as examining a timeline of the subsequent states that were admitted into the Union, until they became the 50 states that currently comprise the modern United States.
