DeKalb County Clerk & Recorder Doug Johnson and the DeKalb County Board proudly inducted two new Veterans into the DeKalb County Veterans Honor Roll on Wednesday night’s Board Meeting. Each veteran received a certificate of this honor.
Mr. Benjamin Byrd served in the U.S. Army from April 1946 to October 1947 and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, the Army Lapel Button, and an M-1 Rifle Marksman Badge.
Mr. Arthur “Larry” Lundgren served in the U.S. Army from September 1966 to June 1969 and was awarded the Air Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Expert Rifleman Bage, Combat Infantryman Badge and the Bronze Star.
The DeKalb County Board and the Citizens of DeKalb County would like to thank Benjamin Byrd and Larry Lundgren for their Service and Sacrifice to our country.
