New Fund Brings the Gift of Music to Children |
The Community Foundation is pleased to announce the Charles Krull Music Support Fund. This Fund provides aid to low-income children in DeKalb County who are pursuing music education. It will help students pay for expenses such as musical instrument rental and fees for private music lessons. Learn more >
2018 Annual Report – Celebrating 25 Years |
We are thrilled to release our 2018 Annual Report, a special anniversary edition. Founders Charlie and Mary Roberts’ vision to create the Community Foundation as a catalyst to grow philanthropy in DeKalb County has surpassed many expectations, distributing over 25 million in grants and managing nearly 50 million in assets.
Alamia Receives 2019 Renaissance Scholarship
Congratulations to Shannon Alamia, recipient of the 2019 Renaissance Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship award will assist Shannon as she begins online courses through National Louis University, concentrating on Early Childhood Practice.

Funding is available for nonprofits and charitable organizations in DeKalb Countythrough the Community Needs and Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund grant programs. Application deadline is Sunday, September 1.

YEP Meet & Greet Planned for August |

The Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) Meet & Greet is Sunday, August 25, from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. High school youth with a desire to make a positive impact in DeKalb County should consider attending. The Meet & Greet is a fun and easy way to learn more about the YEP committee prior to applying for membership.
