The Town of Cortland will host a Summer Fest, from 4 pm – midnight this Saturday, August 7th at Cortland Community Park. The Cortland Festival and Parade Committee will use proceeds of this event, which they hope to repeat annually, to benefit the Cortland Festival and Parade in October.
The following live bands will be featured that Saturday:
• Truman’s Ridge: 4-5:45pm
• Vinyl Roxx: 6-8pm
• 29 Needles: 8:30-9:15pm. This is a local Cortland band.
• Blue Voodoo: 10 pm-mid-night
In addition to the live music planned, a beer garden will sell soda, water, beer, wine and other spirits. Vendors will include Sycamore Country Store & Catering, Taco Real, Dough Brothers and Culver’s.
For the younger crowd, the Summer Fest will have a petting zoo, courtesy of Friendly Farms, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. and a kids’ tent with activities and games.
Admission is free for anyone younger than age 21. Admission from 4-5pm is $2 for anyone age 21 and older and $4 from 5 pm-midnight.
