The 32nd Annual Parade and Festival will be held this Sunday, October 13th, 2013. This year the theme for the parade is Science Fiction. The 32nd Annual Cortland Festival and Parade will kick off at 1:00 p.m. and will feature members of local bands, scout troops, clubs and other organizations. Participants also receive hot dogs, chips and beverage after the parade. This is graciously donated by the Cortland Lions Club and Festival and Parade Committee.Beginning staging at 11 A.M. at N. Loves Road and W. Cortland Center Road. The parade steps off at 1 P.M. rain or shine. Please follow directions for vehicle travel in the drop off areas. . The parade route this year is Loves Rd. (S) to Carol Ave. (E) to Hickory Dr. (S) to Pine St. (E) to Somonauk Rd. (S) to Maple St. (E) to Llanos St. (N) to the Cortland Community Park. Route map link below.The Parade Committee will be hosting a small festival at Cortland Community Park after the parade. Vendors will offer food for purchase. Fun for all age including a 50/50 drawing, a zipline, a clown, crafters and a DJ. Everyone is invited. Monetary donations are being accepted by the committee to help offset the cost of the parade.
