NIU’s Blackwell History of Education Museum will host a reception to reacquaint the campus and DeKalb community with the museum’s mission and goals and to recruit volunteer docents for the museum’s one-room schoolhouse
The event will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, in the NIU College of Education’s Learning Center in Gabel Hall. Light refreshments will be served.
This reception will be the first of several to be offered throughout the coming year in order to begin recruiting volunteer docents to conduct educational programs at the Blackwell’s Milan Township District 83 One Room Schoolhouse.
