Do you have a flair for making people feel great about themselves? Do you enjoy the transformations in make-overs? Whether you are a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician, the American Cancer Society needs you.
Being diagnosed with cancer can be overwhelming, and cancer treatments often change the way someone looks and can affect their self-esteem. In a supportive group setting, survivors learn simple beauty techniques to help manage the appearance-related side effects of treatment. They also have a chance to talk with other cancer survivors going through similar experiences. This workshop can help survivors regain their confidence and self-esteem through the Look Good Feel Better program. Program volunteers make a difference and really help patients look and feel better.
We need your unique skills and training to conduct workshops. Required time is minimal, workshop training and product is provided. Will you help by becoming a Look Good Feel Better volunteer? Call 1-800-227-2345 or visit cancer.org/volunteer to learn more.
